(5) Security equipment approved at national level by derogation from the harmonised regime of approval should not automatically receive the ‘EU Stamp’ marking. The Commission may grant a temporary ‘EU Stamp pending’ marking status to equipment approved at national level only after it has received the test reports.

(6) The Commission should adopt a decision to grant an ‘EU Stamp’ marking to equipment that has received a temporary ‘EU Stamp pending’ marking status.

(7) The Commission should maintain a consolidated Union database listing equipment allowed for installation and use throughout the Union,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The list of approved civil aviation security equipment with ‘EU Stamp’ marking is set out in the Annex.

The ‘Union database on supply chain security — security equipment’ shall be updated accordingly.

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the

Official Journal of the European Union

1. WALK-THROUGH METAL DETECTION (WTMD) EQUIPMENT

WTMD equipment that has passed the location indication test can be used in combination with Shoe Metal Detection equipment and are indicated with (SMD).

For the evaluation of WTMD equipment (Standard 1 and Standard 2), there is no requirement for a maximum Non-Threat Alarm Rate.
